Advice for a Psychiatrist

Prevent your patients from running away with your patience.
Because it might affect your other relations.
If you let them get tangled deep into your hair
You’ll join their ranks before you’re even aware

Sure, ID be tough to get the best of you
Yet they’ll try like they know how and just what to do
Get a grip; maintain control
Reverse psychologize: they will do what they’re told

You're a shrink. Avoid being shrunk
Float like a boat or end up sunk
Listen to patients. Hear-out all they can say….
In 15 minutes, continued one month from today

Your life and your work are two separate things
Don't take for granted what each one to you brings

The money is motivating, and sure, wealth is fine
But money doesn’t buy happiness two-thirds of the time.

Patience is precious, but what a slippery thing!
A patient can snatch it, and wear it, like some fashionable king
So monitor each as you jot down that prescription
For being patient with patients is a career-saving decision
