Dear God

Dear God above of limitless love
you quench my thirst when its at its worst.
You're as sweet as the nectar of a peach or a rose
an incense flame casting its ethereal glow
I love to watch your wonders as they unfold.
my bloodless soul, will never grow old

I
know
nothing!
but that I love you,
my life
my wife, my strife
My religious piety
the sweet misery
of heavenly mystery
I follow the path
you've laid out before me
I travel it never growing weary

God, tell me what to do!
Shall I rap for you too?
Skiddely doo-bap, balamb bamb-boo!
Deliriously, mysteriously
I dance with no shoes
I need no excuse
for wanting you

I want your touch,
You're never too much
never enough
Handle me rough
handle me lightly
pretty or ugly
You're always there
and everywhere
in every thing.

Yeshua, Krishna, Buddha
The father of Judah
or Jesus your son
The fuel of the sun
you'll be proud of me
when this life is done.

A name like yours has many meanings
All appealing.
Love, bliss, the gentle fragrance in a kiss
You are the king, the queen,
you know what I mean
when I say glory, glory halleluiah!
What do I mean to ya?
You mean limitless possibilities
balanced by manageable responsibilities

Your are the art of the heart beating
germinating, seeding the spring breeding
the oldie, the newbie, the ruby-throated booby
I'm swimming in your honey-dew.
eschew the few haters for the many that love you.
Just like I do.
Thank you for my father, my mother, my brother,
Thank you for my wife, I could ask for no other.
And thank you for my creative mind
I find
that its very useful for communication
relaying my appreciation
for all that you've given me.
