The Midnight Lotus

Breath me deeply, darling
siphone my soul like a blackhole
As dark as the midnight lotus
silk skin lilting
before I knew you
each of my petals fell like ash to the floor
tears shed
but a glitter of hope
naught born
reborn
the spark of happiness scintillated
across the canvas of greater time
warped space
a vortex of flame, we became
exhumed by God
for your velvet lips
pressed against mine
We are for each other
a moment in forever
never to end
you are the beginning
Singing the hymn
to our smoldering, passionate love
astral, universal and potent
the only solution
to the unknown equation of 'why'
we were brought together.
