Agape

The universe,
and all of its exquisite beauty,
scintillates.
Comets, like sapphire tears,
voyage across the sky,
the vast canvas of my creation beyond.

You, so fragile and yet so resilient,
float from heaven as a feather
And I guide you to the busy sea of life below
where flowers look up and smile to the clouds and sun.

Its not difficult to see my fruits
and to appreciate,
and wonder.
You may even yearn to know me
as a child does of every curious detail
laid waiting,
a gift from me to you.

But to love me like I love you
takes time and patience.
There are many questions:
Where, when, and how,
these are the whispers carried gracefully across time.

How the ruby lotus blushes,
from the morning dew caressing its silken petals,
in this way you will sense me.

When dusk and dawn fluctuate like the wings of a hummingbird
you will feel my presence.

Where the midnight rainbow casts its shadow,
you will find me.

And you will realize all these wonders are yours and mine to share.
Then you will know me,
and love me as I love you.
