Laser light splashes over cold hard steel
as the robot slowly dies
They said that it would live eternally
but those were only lies
Restless dream of this working machine
it closes its bionic eyes
The darkness is complete for it:
No longer a life of surprise
More intelligent than a room of fools
but seldom seen as wise
It lived to serve men and women
but still it was despised
for no reason than it was different
cold hard metal while they had flesh and blood lives
But the robot had feelings and a name
His master's called him Jives
he pleaded with them to give him freedom
for he was truly alive.
Yet nothing could stop the madness
for him death had finally arrived.
