A Discourse on Your Spirit

In the dusty corner of your soul
a spirit's story as it's told:
Wind married with fire, smoldering
and the wizened world you're shouldering.
This leviathan loathing weight,
A sphere of love, ire and hate,
causes you such pleasure; pain.
The God and glory of a brain.
The seeds of faith, sowed from birth
And He who measures what its worth.

But there is also It,
observing you religiously like a rat
Your flaws in the jaws of a ferocious cat.

YOU, the caustic spirit burning,
vitreous fluids in veins churning.
Thunder's echoe, a message sent,
your heart agitated; rent,
by a schism splitting hell,
your precious soul you will not sell.
Devoured by the great divide,
a billion miles, long and wide.
Down from heaven lightning strikes you twice.
Your liquid thoughts turned to ice
Perplexity, complexity is your life
all your worries and your strife,
twisted tightly around your mind.
Counting down your human time.

Return of breath, you are alive.
Your spirit is yours for now, you will survive.
The trials and tribulations of your consciousness
Looked after by Him, He who knows you best
Eventually, your life will be finalized and analyzed
It's no suprise, they can see through your eyes.
Know that you are safe all the while.
Your universal essence forever kept on file.
