Midnight in Hell

"Midnight comes early in Hell," it's said
These words run forever in my head
Darkness fills the icy prison of my mind
blood red crystals of nothingness leave me blind

I'm torn.
Lacerated beyond comprehension.
My body is pulled and in suspension

It SCREAMS
The hollow tree grasps me in its claws and screams.
Wailing parasitic death of darkest dreams
It rots.
We slowly rot together.
The bark it wears is human leather

The maggots live off my festered heart
Aqueous chambers taste bitter; tart
It beats to a broken metronome
hangs listlessly over Satan's dome

I too, scream as I continue to erode
The capillaries of my lungs explode
My thin blood bubbles and boils
rushing out as viscous oils

Visceral torture; living agony
The hell-bent tree continues to crush me
Coagulated platelets are siphoned from my veins
This undead entity shrieks as it is in pain

My neural fibers meld into the bark as I am assimilated
I'm a sinner so cruel; so cruelly hated
Quickly thrown into the bowels of hell
My Skull rings hollow like an empty shell

I'm a leper nailed upside down
to this half-dead crucifix in the ground
Anything more added to the nightmare becomes a dream
as I'm boiled alive in Hell's midnight steam.

A chard core emanates in the blank existence of my harrowed soul
a coffin-like vessel collecting mold.
Drip
Drip
I'm squeezed ever more tightly into pulp
and I leak.

It's hideous screams cast demons aside
running up walls that don't exist but in my drowned pride
Yes, Midnight comes early in Hell
And nothing is pleasant where the devil dwells
