Silent Zen

Like silk slowly unraveling in the breeze or leaves whirling down from the trees
There is a particular beauty about silence that seems to transcend time
A soft gracefulness to the quietude that feels incredibly sublime
While there is a vast emptiness to the sound of nothing
silence carries its own weight majestically.
A lot is desirable about the stillness
Peace in every drawn breath
As even a whisper dies
Crisp and vacant
There is calm
in infinite
points
until
Zen
is
.

No seconds wasted in a moment

~

It is midnight
00:00
Nothing
is moving
Nothing
is stiring
the Silence
Yet each second slips
a notch
...a notch
......a notch
Without emotion
or a care.
Exacting
Is
the Silence
until
00:01
Now
Time
Stands
Still

Nature's Celebration

A cool breeze blows across the fingertips of the forest
The canopy and the zephyrs dance a waltz
serenaded by droplets of the sun:

Photon drippings from the heavens

The leaves swoon before the permutations of a rebel cloud
Cumulus; voluminous, its murky mouth
Air stimulation, rapid formation
of a multi-colored arch.
Brilliant hues in orchestration
Celebration of Mother Nature,
moved by Earth.

One

I peacefully meditate as I float above the clouds
My conscience follows the path of Zen
In a gentle trance my spirit is a song
that soothes an ancient soul
through lifetimes traveling
across the plain of birth and death,
I chant Hare Krishna to the One
The minds-eye is a singularity,
a point of infinite depth
and beauty
My body flies while my mind rests
on immortal thoughts of nothing
only His form
His essence
crosses this field of transcendental vision
that veils every living being
For He is in everything:
from electrons to distant nebulae
And I know this
because we've found each other
once again

Concentration

Super psychic scintillations
mind's eye making minute calibrations
radical vibration: thought in creation
rampant within the brain’s mentation.

'I':
impetus for an idea after fermentation
though nascent; newborn, in migration
subconscious abstract point ablations
rid the EGO of ID frustration.

Neuron nation: cloud congregation
All awareness back from vacation
logic / absurdity, there's no relation
I am myself: complete saturation
100% focused at my thinking-station
because procrastination is devastation
to the wonderful permutations
of deep contemplation.

The Evolution of the Universe

Ages come then crumble

Time groans then stands still

Night into day
Day into night
As horizons appear and then
die into the night,
the motion of life ceases.
And in the midnight hour
one question sublimates from the noise:
Am I really alive?
A spectator with neither eyes nor ears nor mouth
only limbs feeling
all the pain and pleasure
that exists in this expansive universe
Complementary sensations
of light and dark
tug and pull on a mind
of infinite depth
so very black and cold
like the gathering of thunderclouds
collecting
compiling together for the release
When heaven meets earth
and time merges with mind
will new life begin
from a speck of dust
and one cataclysmic explosion
repeated.

Pondering on Winter

Sitting in my rocking chair
A warm cocoa in my hands
I'm reading a winter's fairy tale
I have no other plans

But to relax, read, and watch
The soft, white, and moist snow
fall gently to the earth
bathed in sunlight glow

How beautiful and serene the sky
In gold and auburn hues
So tranquil I am feeling
Admiring the winter views

Time stands still in this most precious moment
As I gently fall asleep
I dream of ethereal snow angels
and hear bare willows weep

I love the winter season
My favorite time of the year
Life is more subdued
All green has disapeared

And on I snuggle in my chair
With nothing much to do
but to breath in the crisp air
and enjoy the majestic view

Walnut Universe

Everyone has their hidden secrets,
their forlorn ghosts.
Thoughts are like the wind as it carries
the autumn leaf across a grey-cast sea.
In God you harbor faith.
Where is your place in all the space?
We belong in this world as one of many:
a field of wheat in a horizontal eternity.
But everywhere one turns, another wall to topple
another rug to hide the dust.
Existence is a drink: two parts confusion: three parts lust.
I'll burn away MY pride.
I will not hide,
not anymore.
The mysteries, sure, are mine,
but they are also yours.
We'll share the star stuff in the scruff of time.
I'm going to breath you in,
this to begin.
Blend my conscience with yours.
We'll climb out from the basement of the mind
into clarity and sunlight
as a butterfly undergone its metamorphosis
.

Everlasting Zen

Streams of sunlight flow into the darkness
They saturate the midnight shadows
And the photons idly lick my skin

I dream beneath a pool of crystal
Here, universes below the surface,
ancient gravity queens warp my perception of time.

The sky is a sea filled with the nowhere of a memory
I cannot put my finger on it. It escapes me.
But I incise the droplets of inspiration pouring from my mind
with the precision of a seasoned surgeon.

I created myself in a metaphor
In the chasm of a black-hole entrapped in dry ice,
the seed within the sticky confines of a resin drop,
a thought I bore.

It bloomed and became the blueprint of a defining moment
Wonder, beauty, divination, and illusion,
all chained together like nucleotides of DNA,
and wrapped around my heart as a lover would.

It stilled the movements of my body
But not my mind,
which syncopated to the rhythm of thunderstorms
and the translation of happy snails through space

Minutes were weeks, days, centuries.
The Milky Way made its revolutions.
I remained beneath the sunlight and the sea
refracting psychic fumes scattered by the spell
of an everlasting meditation

At the event horizon: here and now

I could begin by effortlessly listening
Yet curiosity's persuasion asks:
If I go beyond what I am, will love lead the way?

To become is not the goal -
IT needs to BE
mind unbound
Governed not by time
Somewhere between sky and sea....
......silence is
the most beautiful of sounds!

I am diving out of sight
But am I the swimmer swimming?
The anchor sinking downward, tied to my feet… Is that mine?
Impossible
For I am.
feathers, slow-

inG
some place with neither ceiling nor floor.
(I replaced the peacock yesterday
When bright plumage was needed not anymore.)

This is not a poem; it also is not about me
It pertains to us: me and you
Realizing
then acting out
discovering a common truth

Know that the ego-serving beast is hungry
Harbored beneath this fragile hide
spawning from the ignorance of greed
and incubating in our false pride.

But we can stop it dead in its metamorphose
If we shed all remnants of bad pride
The self-induced choking will be stopped
And ultimately, we will survive
(Live and remember that the flesh, like desire, dies)

If I wish to no longer regress
I can begin by looking after you.
Start by starving any selfishness,
and putting the 'me' to rest.

This mentality will nurture humanity
a means to world-wide good health,
No heart shall be in poverty if we all share the wealth

Now, we are
the Ouroborus perpetuating
A being with no end
we can end the selfishness
Making ammends with our enemies
and turning, with them, into friends

Until we find us sharing one consciousness,
consider all as sod
little granules of special nothingness
all layed out here and there by God
We are the seedlings incubating.
In the soil realizing that we are nascent.
Pushing our tendrils slowly skyward
In yearning---begging (the heaven for a refreshing cry)

But until,
the end of before,
There are so many under so few
All wanting a better view
How sad that nations feel that they must compete
Craving to be the first ones to see the refulgence
Of the Sun!

There is no self in isolation, but perception often lies.
Reality is adulterated by the senses
It's no surprise that blindness takes root from out of our eyes

Close them now.

The past that was won't be now what is
Use your beautiful mind
to access the oneness
Outside of time.
Then you will awake from deep-set sleep!
And once you've made this quantom leap
A word of caution:
Don't try too hard to understand.
The purposes of life

Because life is for living
and not all the answers can be found in mental preoccupation
The more one struggles with what is
the more one sinks
Into the quagmire of the mind:
Quicksand of the hourglass
(not just another line)

We can interrupt the flow
and I think it is time
Freedom!

We hide in our cages
The security of a cell
Someone's heaven is another's hell
Traveling forward but moving nowhere
Totter 'round some wishing-well

But when we release everything
Everything is ours
And the state we call living is revealed for what it really is

Aspire
Ignite as fire
the silence that waits to be exhumed
Let actions manifest what's best

No plan and no demands

Just love.
Be it , give it , & receive it
with open arms
Take the silk and spin
Weave a web
create what's due
Let the light of dawn
Reflect the captured you

Then what remains is nothing short of
our beauty: breathtaking
All shoulders feather-light
Dynamic consciousness
Perpetually rhythmic and all-impacting
Linking everyone
because everyone is letting go
letting go of their every-things.
these symbols of something that is nothing
but an illusion.

So here we find each other
All plurality ceased
and we are inseparable friends
Of this planet, this universe; this reality
Never to be lost
Nothing needing to be found;
(also, no fear of headed up or down!)
Where the peace is ubiquitous
In the new present
that is the present
Of the here and now.
